Las dos primeras fotos corresponden a la variedad Belat, una de las variedades experimentales. Se vendimio el pasado lunes , una de las primeras variedades en salir del programa de recuperación de variedades perdidas que llevan a cabo desde el año 1999. Análisis de su ADN indica que es autóctona y única. Las fotos muestran los primeros remontajes / fermentación. Belat da un vino sin una gran capa de color, pero con unos aromas muy finos de tabaco de pipa, mentolados, y una estructura tánica aterciopelada dulce que da el sabor fresco y elegante de los grandes vinos. Evidentemente con una uva así, nos inspiramos en los grandes Pinot Noirs de Borgoña y la potencialidad del también autóctono Sumoll.
De momento sólo tienen unas 500 cepas en producción plantados el año 1999 y unos cuantos al «Jardín» de Can Vendrell delante de la bodega pero esperan que nuevas plantaciones lleguen a su madurez hacia finales de la década …
